Alta Vista Public School Ski & Snowboard Club 2018
Updated 2018 Winter: New this Winter!!! We are running our program with the Glebe Community Centre (GNAG).
Dear Parents of Students Grade 4- 8
We are pleased to announce that the AVPS School Council has worked in partnership with the Glebe Neighbourhood Activities Group (GNAG) to offer ski club at Camp Fortune this year, on Monday nights from January 22nd to March 5th (excluding Family Day, Feb. 19). This is an affordable and convenient opportunity for us to offer Ski Club to our students.
A bus will pick students up at Alta Vista Public School at 3:45pm and students will then bus to the Glebe Community Centre, from where they will depart to Camp Fortune. Students will be able to ski, and have the option to rent equipment and take lessons as well. Students will be returned to the Glebe Community Centre at 9pm, and you will need to pick students up from there. Students will need to bring a dinner or money for dinner.
To register for the club, lessons and/or equipment rental, you must register through the GNAG. Please go to http://www.GNAG.ca register. You will be prompted to indicate your child’s school. AVPS School Council will then receive a list of students who are registered and a parent volunteer will be on hand to help load the bus at AVPS on Ski Club nights and ensure that all students are boarded.
Please ensure you register early. Registration open December 7th through GNAG. A reminder that before registering, families must set up theirfamily profile. They do this by registering themselves (mom or dad) FIRST and then subsequently adding in the child(ren). There will be no opportunity for late registration.
If you have any questions about the program, please phone GNAG at 613-233-8713 or email Tim@GNAG.ca regarding the program, or email Stephen at AltaVistaSC2017@gmail.com for specific school council ski program questions.
