Dear AVPS community,
This school year School Council provided almost $10,000 in funding but was only able to raise less than $500 due to COVID restrictions. Please help us bridge the gap.
From June 9-19, we are inviting you to make a donation to your School Council, so that we may continue to support learning enhancements next year and beyond.
Since September 2020, we have funded such requests as:
- Phys. Ed. equipment to keep students active within COVID protocols;
- more diverse books for classrooms and the school library;
- board games, sleds and snow toys for our youngest students;
- learning enhancements for Black History Month and Asian and Pacific Islander History Month;
- a presentation from an Indigenous elder;
- a motivational speaker for our Intermediate students;
- extra supplies for science and art;
- equipment for an indoor curling workshop; and
- the list goes on.
Without funding from School Council, our students would miss out on special workshops and enriched learning opportunities. We are gratefully asking for any support you may be able to extend, recognizing with compassion that not all families are able to do so.
