School Council meetings normally take place the third Wednesday of every month at 7:00pm. All Alta Vista Public School parents and guardians are encouraged to attend.
The first School Council meeting of the 2023-24 school year will take place on September 20, 2023. During that meeting, we will also host School Council’s Annual General Meeting (AGM). The main goal of the AGM is to elect voting members and executive positions.
With support from volunteers, Council will offer the following events:
- The Welcome Back BBQ on September 21, 2023 following the Meet the Teacher event held by the school.
- The Book Fair on November 22-24, 2023.
- A Flavours of the World Potluck on April 18, 2024.
- The beloved Spring Fair will take place on May 25, 2024.
- Our ever-popular Movie Nights will take place on dates to be confirmed over the course of the school year.
