AVPS Movie Night – Rules & Expectations

1. Children must be supervised at all times

Parents/guardians must stay for the entire event. Movie Night is not a drop‑off activity.

2. Students must remain in the gym or designated areas

Please ensure your child does not:

  • go up on the stage
  • roam the halls
  • explore unsupervised areas

3. Enjoy the movie and the community — just keep things safe and considerate

Movie Night is a social event, and kids love spending time with their friends. A bit of chatting and moving around is totally fine. We just ask everyone to keep things safe and respectful so all families can enjoy the evening. If noise or activity becomes disruptive or unsafe, organizers may step in to help settle things.

4. Follow instructions from volunteers and staff

Council volunteers, Teen volunteers and teacher volunteers help run the event. Please support them by:

  • respecting their directions
  • encouraging your child to listen
  • helping keep the environment calm and safe

5. Bake sale & concession

Movie Nights are cash‑only events.

The concession is prepared and run by volunteers.

If you’d like to contribute to the bake sale, please bring nut‑free and peanut‑free baked goods.

6. Help keep the gym clean

Please encourage your child to:

  1. use garbage bins
  2. stay seated while eating

7. Bring what you need to be comfortable

Families are welcome to bring:

  • blankets
  • small pillows
  • stuffies
  • nut‑free and peanut-free snacks

8. Have fun

These nights are designed to give the community a chance to meet up and enjoy a good movie. Let’s work together to make sure everyone has a positive experience.
