The Spring Fair 2023 Committee just had their first planning meeting and we are excited to be bringing back a much loved event to our school community!
With that being said, we need YOUR HELP! In order to run as many events as possible, we need people to donate their time and be leads for specific events as well as volunteering on the day of.
Coordinators would be expected to plan their event in the lead up to Spring Fair, with support from the planning committee, help with set-up/take down on the day of and directing the volunteers assigned to their activity on the day of the fair.
The following roles and events are in need of a coordinator:
- Volunteers: Arrange for volunteers to support Spring Fair
- Communications: Help with drafting emails, creating posters, etc to promote Spring Fair
- Outdoor games: Speaks for itself, help with planning and executing outdoor games for Spring Fair
- Indoor games: These would be games held inside the school building and would generally be geared to younger children
- Cake and Cupcake lottery: A perennial crowd favourite, arrange for the donation of cakes and cupcakes from volunteers, for this fun event as well as leading the set up, execution and take down of this event.

Additionally, we are happy to announce the return of our silent auction and class baskets!! These fair favourites will be back to provide the opportunity to bid on gift cards and certificates from local restaurants, museums and other attractions, as well as on fabulous gift baskets created by students and their families.
To help make these events a success, the planning committee is looking for some volunteers to help canvass local businesses for donations. We’re also happy to accept donations from parents in our school community. Please contact our silent auction coordinator Kathy if you can help or would like to make a donation.
