Get your tickets for an Ottawa 67s game on February 7!

Back by popular demand! Alta Vista Public School (AVPS) will be going to see our own Ottawa 67’s play the Brantford Bulldogs on Saturday, February 7 at 3:00pm. The 67’s have reserved a block of tickets in Section 13 (see seating maps) for the families and friends of AVPS students! This event is a fundraiser for the school – every ticket sold will greatly benefit our entire AVPS community. Tickets are $26 each–a $5 savings from retail price!!!

Tickets are now on sale and will be available until Sunday, February 1st at midnight (or until we sell out). Last year’s fundraiser was a sell out so don’t wait until the last minute to purchase!! These tickets would be a great Holiday gift for those hard to buy for people on your list!

To purchase tickets, please send an interac E-transfer to sc-altavistaps@ocdsb.ca. When sending the transfer: please indicate how many tickets you are purchasing and provide your name/email in the message box. Please note that the tickets purchased will be sent electronically through Ticketmaster closer to the time, so it’s important that you provide these details when sending the E-transfer.

If you have any questions, just send an email to alta.vista.hockey.tickets@gmail.com (please do not send e-transfers to this address).

Hope to see you at the game!

The 67’s play their games at TD Place in Lansdowne Park at the corner of Holmwood Ave. and Bank St. There is limited indoor parking available (advance reservations recommended), a free shuttle bus from Carleton University as well as free service by OC Transpo. The details for transportation can be found on the 67’s website.

***Please note, children need to be accompanied by adults (i.e. no drop-offs please!)***

Gifts of Giving 2025

This AVPS community fundraiser gives students a chance to find affordable gifts for their loved ones and it’s the perfect opportunity for you to clear out some clutter or regift some special items!

On December 12, students will be invited to our pop-up store in the gym to choose one or two special gifts that our wonderful volunteers will then wrap! Every gift will cost just $2. All proceeds will be directed toward School Council outreach initiatives.

Toonie, loonie, and cash donations will be collected by teachers in the classrooms during the week of the event. (Donations of 2$ per gift are requested, but not required).

Donations Needed!

We will gratefully accept items in gently used or new condition — toys, trinkets, household and decorative items, costume jewellery, games, accessories, etc. Any item that could be a nice gift for a loved one of any age is appreciated! (No clothing, books, DVDs, or very heavy, or breakable items, please).

Gift bags and tissue paper donations are especially needed to keep special gifts a surprise!

Items can be placed in the donation box in the school lobby until December 9.

Volunteers Needed!

To make this event a success, we need helpers in the afternoon on December 11 (set up) and during the day on December 12 (wrapping, assisting, and clean-up).

Please sign up here to help.
