Alta Vista School Council

On Saturday, December 6th, 2014, Council will be hosting a Holiday Bazaar and Winter Gear Sale (skis, skates, sleds, etc) at the school starting at 10 am. We will be renting tables for $20 each if anyone has something to sell (e.g. handmade jewelry, crafts, jams and jellies etc).

Our Movie Night Team really needs some new volunteers, starting with this month’s movie night on Friday, October 24. We need people who can be available around 5:00 pm. If you can’t arrive by 5:00, that’s ok too. We’d still love to have you help out!

Movie nights are usually held the last Friday of each month. This month’s is being held a week early since Halloween falls on the last Friday of the month.

The-ever popular Movie Nights, coordinated by School Council, will kick off this year with a showing of “Muppets Most Wanted” on Friday, October 24th. Doors open at 5:30 pm, and the movie starts at 6:00 pm in the gym. There is no charge to attend Movie Night. Limited quantities of hot dogs, popcorn, and other treats will be sold in the kitchen.

Wow! It is the last day of the school year! Congratulations to all the students, staff, and families. And a huge Thank You to everyone for your generous support during the past year — for the hours of volunteering; for the donations of stuff and of funds; for your ideas and input; for coming out and supporting our school and its community. We are looking forward to new things on the horizon and we will be back in action again in the fall. Until then, we wish you a safe and happy summer!
