Call for donations – CD players and books :)

Hello!  Last night we had our budget allocation meeting where teachers provided us with list of things they would like funds for.  It was a nice long list and we were able to support them in most of their request!

Some requests though could be donations instead of purchasing with council funds.

HERE IS WHAT  SCHOOL IS LOOKING FOR

CD PLAYERS – yes those little portable boom-boxes that play CDs.  Teachers have resources to use in their lesson plans but not enough players to go around.  From kinder to grade 8’s.

To donate:  please bring in the CD player in working / decent condition to the office.

 

BOOKS – The library can always take more books!  Any book from fiction to biography,  reference books to how-to’s.

To donate: If they are in good condition, you can drop them off in the library.

Welcome Back!

Welcome back to ALTA VISTA

We are excited for another great year.

We are your school council and we will be hosting many events and meetings throughout the year.

First off – you are invited to our ANNUAL WELCOME BACK BBQ, Thursday Sept. 20th 4:00 – 6:00   Click below for more details 

 

Also our first meeting and AGM will be

Wednesday Sept. 26th 7:00 – 8:30 pm in the library.  Hope you can join us.  It’s the best way to keep up to date with what is happening at the school.

Welcome, once more and we look forward to working together to make AVPS the best place to learn!
