Tackling Anxiety and Stress Through Art and Mindfulness

In our attempt to continue to support parents and caregivers of our students Alta Vista School council is excited to bring this great talk.  TASAM also includes 8 week Mindful Movement workshops for students grades 1-6.

You are invited to our Parent talk and student movie night!  

Thursday March 1st 7:00 – 9:00 pm

Parent talk will be in the Gym and student Movie night in the library.

Pizza Fridays – sign up today!

Who: Alta Vista Students Grades JK – 8

When & Where:

Pizza will be delivered to Alta Vista School on Fridays from

February 23rd, 2018, until June 22nd, 2018, not including days when the school is closed (total of 14 Fridays). It will be served to students during the first nutrition break at 11:25.

What: Pizza will be from Gabriel’s Pizza. A whole wheat crust will be ordered to comply with nutritional standards set by the school board.

Why: Pizza Fridays are not only a fun lunch alternative enjoyed by both the kids and parents but are a fundraiser for school council.

Slices are $2.50 and you can choose 1) Plain Cheese, 2) Plain Cheese – Gluten Free, 3) Pepperoni, or 4) Vegetarian.

ON-LINE ORDERING WILL BE OPEN FROM JANUARY 19th to FEBRUARY 2nd at:

All ordering will be done on-line with Sagoto Solutions. All payments in the system are through TD Online Mart and require a credit card.

There will also be a limited amount of pizza to purchase for cash each Friday in the kitchen. It will be served on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that Kindergarten students are not able to purchase pizza for cash from the kitchen.

BOOKFAIR UPDATE

Dear Parents / Guardians:

We wanted to thank all the Volunteers, Parents, Students, and Teachers for another great Scholastic Book Fair year. We hope everyone had a great time and enjoyed their books on the long weekend.

We missed our last year Target by only $64!!!
Our School will receive $4367.05 in Books.

AMAZING!!!!!.
